It was the part that made it sound like they had taken more than their fair share. We started down the pathway to argue with them when Sam realized that they had said they were only hoping to get as much as they could carry back. We felt like fools because they saw us coming so we joined them and joked about how stupid we had been. They slapped us on the back and offered to share their meal with us. It turned out to be a great evening after all.
